Recently, Hikvision, the global leader in video surveillance have launched a new 4K product range called 4K Total System. Under this product range we can find a every type of camera, from box, to PTZ and also recording solution. 4K Total System products are using a Hikvision proprietary smart codec H.264+, which reduce the bandwidth and storage requirements by 50% comparing with standard H.264 systems.
This new 4K family contains beside UHD cameras, also UHD compatible NVR. Both product types comes with a Smart function suite ideal for every application type were image quality and high resolution are mandatory.
Key features
H.264+ Smart Codec
As we all know, usually higher resolution means higher bandwidth and storage requirements are required. Now, thanks to newest Hikvision’s H.264 smart codec, this burden is no more a weight on any users shoulder, cause, the video stream is treated and managed more efficiently. Features such as background-based predictive smart encoding, enhanced noise suppression, advanced video content analysis and optimized bitrate control for long-term periods, Hikvision H.264+ compression saves bandwidth resources and decreases storage requirements.
4K Output
The 4K Hikvision NVR supports 2.0 HDMI output interface, allowing users to display 4K on monitor. Having a 4K camera, 4K codec, and now a 4K output, users benefit a comprehensive 4K total system. 4K streams, can now be live displayed on 4K monitors, recorded, and also playback.
Smart features
Functions such as face detection, intrusion detection, line crossing detection, smart focus, smart tracking and smart video analytics such as region enter/exit, object left behind and object removed can also be found on this new 4K product family. Now, users are able to find more easier when the event occur, thereby, many searching hours won’t be spent in order to process for a certain action. All these features can be linked with further actions such as alarm output event, surveillance center notification, email sending, or even linkage between cameras in order to take immediate action.
Ultra-High Definition means Ultra-High Quality Analytics
This new 4K solution contains a front-end solution, from 4K IP box, bullet, dome cameras along with 4K NVR models assure 4K real time monitoring. Higher the resolution, the more information can be extracted from scene and sent for further analysis. Therefore, the images will me processed with more accuracy.
